the most poignant part? i don't have fantasies, visions and dreams anymore...how do i develop some? seriously! i think that's the cornerstone of my current career path search....and the reason why it's not moving.

do i want to bake whoopies pies all day? help people pick out wine? care for and teach small children? be a graphic designer? design people's living rooms? own a housewares boutique?

do you guys still have dreams? no, not goals as they are quite different from dreams. climbing rungs on the salary ladder and working towards promotions aren't from the same frame of mind.....and i especially know that it's not the way i want to live my life. not to say that anyone enjoys living the real-life version of office space, but i truly think there are people that are better suited for the rat race. and no, i'm not being rude- why would i demean the people that take vacations, have health insurance, feel stability, are comfortable and bring home steady bacon?

i just really can't take much more of wasting 15 minutes each morning listening to what all the staff is doing that day, copying so-and-so and this email, and following up with so-and-so on whaver requests and writing a monthly status report that the client is probably not going to read......

btw if you google image search "dream," the results aren't very inspiring....
